NIE appointments that vanish at midnight, empadronamiento requirements that vary by neighborhood, utility companies with hold music instead of answers: expats in Spain need a local who knows the shortcuts. You will be that local, remotely, for members across the country.
What you'll actually do
- Resolve member requests: NIE and residency appointments, empadronamiento, utilities, banking, healthcare access
- Call Spanish offices and providers on members' behalf and push to resolution
- Send members clear English updates with the next step always stated
- Build city-by-city playbooks: what each ayuntamiento actually requires
- Escalate patterns and propose fixes before members feel the pain twice
A typical week
A member in Valencia has chased a cita previa for three weeks; you find the alternate office trick and book it in twenty minutes. Later you shepherd an empadronamiento with a landlord who won't provide the authorization, so you find the legally valid workaround the clerk will accept. The member's message that evening: "how did you DO that?"
What you bring
- Native or near-native Spanish AND fluent professional English (C1 badge required)
- Practical mastery of Spanish administrative processes
- Creative persistence; official channels are the start, not the end
- Warm, reassuring written communication
Structure and pay
Full-time, fully remote within Spain/EU, CET hours. €1,500-2,000/month depending on experience, review at 90 days.
Why this role comes through RemoteComet
The employer runs hiring for this position exclusively through us. That means one application reaches the actual decision maker, your profile is never resold or scattered across databases, and you get a real status on every application: matched, in review, or not this time. Nobody gets ghosted here.
How hiring works
1. Quick apply, two fields, two minutes. 2. If the role lists a skill badge, a short one-time assessment (reused for every role that needs it). 3. A screening conversation with our team. 4. Interview with the employer, where their name is disclosed to you. 5. Offer. Typical time from application to first interview: under two weeks.
