Document Procurement Specialist (Italian Public Offices)

Confidential employer · represented by RemoteComet

EUR 1,400–1,900/monthfull timeEU preferredCET ±2

Somewhere in a municipal office in Italy is a certificate a client needs, and the office hasn't answered in three weeks. You are the person who gets it anyway: the right letter, the right follow-up call in polite-but-immovable Italian, the request that finally lands on the right desk. This is detective work with paperwork, and the win condition is a stamped document in hand. Two seats open.

What you'll actually do

  • Draft and send certificate requests to Italian comuni, parishes, and state archives
  • Work the phones: follow up in Italian with municipal clerks until requests move
  • Track 60-100 open requests with statuses accurate to the day
  • Solve the weird ones: renamed towns, merged archives, records that moved in 1962
  • Document what works per office so the next request takes half the time

A typical week

Monday you sweep the tracker and fire follow-ups on everything silent for 10+ days. Tuesday is phone time with three comuni, one of which insists the record doesn't exist until your alternate spelling finds it. By Thursday two certificates arrive by PEC and one by post, and you close those requests with the small, real satisfaction of a hunt completed.

What you bring

  • Fluent Italian and strong professional English (C1 badge required)
  • Experience dealing with Italian public administration (comune, anagrafe, archivio di stato) in any capacity
  • Organized to the point of mild obsession; a tracker is your natural habitat
  • Persistent and unfailingly courteous, the combination that actually works with clerks

Structure and pay

Full-time, fully remote, EU-based preferred for phone hours. €1,400-1,900/month depending on experience, review at 90 days.
